Available for purchase we have a Studer A80 2" 24 Track analog reel to reel MTR in stellar condition. This machine was recently removed from our clients private recording studio where it was used sparingly from the early 2000's. The owner has closed his studio and is downsizing and no longer has the space to keep it. He purchased this machine from the original owner where it was used in a fully staffed corporate post production facility in Toronto during the 80's/90's and was regularly serviced and maintained by Toronto's finest studio techs. This Studer has been regularly serviced from 1981 by the same ex-studer tech, Roger Ginsley . Roger has all his service records for this machine dating back to when this Studer was first commissioned and we will be happy to introduce the buyer to him. This Studer had a unique propietary mod completed where special "DDTMM" adjustment cards were added to the turntable potentiometers that permitted far easier tension set up and adjustments. Relatively low hours for its age, approximately 4000 hours, and good head life remaining.
