Vintage Homer Prouty Longbow 68" Yew? Wood 1930s EUC - $650 - (Fort Myers, FL)
A really neat and rare find. I'm not well versed in bows but I found this at an estate sale and thought it was too cool to pass up. I researched it some and the Prouty logo is for Homer "Pop" Prouty. He was a long distance flight champion back from the 1930s. Also unsure of the type of wood. When looking at other examples I think it may be called Yew wood but I am uncertain of that. It measures 68" long. Also has a number 39 stamped near the grip. It is in great condition. No cracks or splits in the wood. There is some wear to the grip as seen in the photo.
