This auction is for an original Victorian cast iron arched fireplace dating from the 1860s made in cast iron and cast with fine detail, it truly is a rare item . The detail of the casting is quality that cannot be produced today .It till retains its original yellow pine surround The fireplace can be used for burning wood or coal as used in England in the Victorian period or just for show . These fireplace mantels look fabulous fitted in country cottages or log cabins to add some real character.
