ant5543. This is a wool paisley shawl, circa 1870. It is reversible........2 layers with unfinished ends concealed between, causing it to be a heavier shawl. The size, 68" x 65", not including the fringe on 2 sides, makes it useful for many purposes besides a shawl..........table or bed covering, a draped throw, etc. Only one side has any hard-to-find flaws. I have pictured them, magnified. A couple of very small fraying or wear spots and one small stain, less than dime size. Other side is perfect.
