This antique coin silver serving spoon was made by Hatch & Cross. William Henry Harrison Hatch was a watchmaker and jeweler in Portland, Maine from the 1830s into the 1880s. He was in the partnership Hatch & Cross during the early 1860s. The spoon measures about 8 1/2" long and weighs 38 grams. Coin silver is 90% silver, only 2.5% less than sterling, so contains 34.2 grams of pure silver (about 1.1 troy oz.) The spoon has an "H" monogram. It is in very good condition. There is a very small "bump" in the bowl and some minor marks from use. Please take a moment to look at the other items in my eBay store!
