GEMEINHARDT PICCOLO 4PSH SOLID SILVER NEVER PLAYED - $550 - (San Jose, CA)

This GEMEINHARDT 4PSH PICCOLO was purchased from a popular music store when it closed. It was in the storeroom because someone had scratched it when putting it together. Other than that, it is in excellent condition, still in its original plastic wrap and in its original case. It has never been played. I did not attempt to polish it or the scratches as I thought the new owner should make those decisions. When I attempted to research the serial number I discovered that Gemeinhardt had lost that year. I estimate it to be approximately 2009. I know this as I worked in the store I purchased it from. It is a really beautiful instrument, and the retail price was $1469.00. It has a solid silver headjoint and has a reputation for a very lovely tone. The serial number on the instrument is 25924 and it was made in Elkhart Indiana in the United States. Both of these are engraved on the instrument. Gemeinhardt is the worlds largest manufacturer of piccolos and was founded by Kurt Gemeinhardt in 1928. I was tempted to keep this, but know there is someone out there who will equally appreciate it and use it. It comes with its original hardshell case.
