Up for sale is this Vintage NWT Hermann Teddy Original Mohair Jointed "Circus Bear." I purchased this teddy bear at an estate sale auction. It is in excellent condition. "Circus Bear" has an embroidered nose and felt paws. It has an open mouth. It is a humpback bear. The head rotates around and all four legs are jointed. Comes complete with a brown suede collar around the neck and chain attached to the nose. Never played with.*Since the photos were taken 2 of the tags have fallen off since they were attached with a rubber band that has worn out. Measurements: 6.5" L x 4.5" W x 10" H History:In 1912 Bernhard Hermann founded his family business in Sonneberg, Germany, which he named after his initials "BE HA" and started to produce teddy bears and dolls. In 1948, he along with his sons, moved his business to Hirschaid near Bamberg, Germany, which is today's site of the company. It is here that the actual rise of the company to one of the most renowned in its industry branch began, accompanied by the change of the company name to Teddy-Pluschspielwarenfabrik Gebr. Hermann KG, with the three sons of the founder, as general partners. Todays enterprise, the Teddy-Hermann GmbH, is directed by Margit Drolshagen and Marion Mehling. Traudel Mischner-Hermann is in charge of the design and quality of the collectors bears made in Germany.
