Up for sale is this NWT Hermann Teddy Original Jointed Bear 13" tall. I purchased this bear at an estate sale auction. The owner bought and stored bears. It is a small bear and in excellent condition. This Teddy Original has an embroidered nose and mouth. It is a humpback bear. The head rotates around and all four legs are jointed. Comes complete with a red ribbon around the neck. All tags attached. Never played with. Measurements: 9" L x 5.25" W x 13" H History:In 1912 Bernhard Hermann founded his family business in Sonneberg, Germany, which he named after his initials "BE HA" and started to produce teddy bears and dolls. In 1948, he along with his sons, moved his business to Hirschaid near Bamberg, Germany, which is today's site of the company. It is here that the actual rise of the company to one of the most renowned in its industry branch began, accompanied by the change of the company name to Teddy-Pluschspielwarenfabrik Gebr. Hermann KG, with the three sons of the founder, as general partners. Todays enterprise, the Teddy-Hermann GmbH, is directed by Margit Drolshagen and Marion Mehling. Traudel Mischner-Hermann is in charge of the design and quality of the collectors bears made in Germany.
