Mauchline Ware Pin Cushion Wheel ~ Cathedral Basilica, St. Augustine, FL ~ A mauchline transfer ware round pin cushion of an engraving of the Ancient Spanish Cathedral, known today as Cathedral of St. Augustine. "Located at Cathedral St. between Charlotte and St. George Streets. Constructed over five years (1793–1797), it was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark on April 15, 1970. Originally established in 1565 and re-built in the 18th century, it is the oldest church in Florida." Circa: 1880s Condition: GOOD There are no cracks or splits. Wear appropriate to age. Good luster to the varnish, however, there are small dings thru out both sides, with some deterioration to the varnish on the front upper right side. Mulberry colored velvet is complete but worn down to ground. Silk ribbon attached, but split at top. 1-3/4" dia. (4.6cm dia.)
