You are bidding on a framed and matted 9 X 12 Black and white glossy photo taken of Mantle in his rookie year at age 19 in Joplin, MI. He wears number 6 in photo; his original number. Included in the framed picture are two vintage Mantle card--a 1964 Topps Jumbo World Series card ( celebrating Mantle's setting the WS Hr's record) and a 1967 Topps card. The Jumbo card is at least EX-MT+ as is the Topps card. They have been in this frame for 30 years in a smoke free home. There isn't much I could say about the Mick that isn't already Yankee lore and legend. I spent the 1950's and 60's going to the Stadium and simply being dazzled. A towering power presence, and a true Hall of Famer, Mantle finished in the top 5 AL MVP voting 9 times, winning 3 and finishing 2nd twice. His career was such that he finished in the top 20 all time in 13 offensive categories. Mick was a treat to watch play.
