There is a hole in the middle, it was made like it, I'm guessing for water to drain out. There is no rust through holes, this is solid cast metal. This measures a little over 7" diameter outside, the lip of the top and middle have great decoration x about 9" tall with a square base of 3 3/4". This is in very good condition for its age. This would look great in the garden or even in the house. I did not see any markings. Please look closely at the pictures and consider them part of the description; we are describing what we see, but you are the expert.
