WELL QUILTED Vintage 30's Princess Feather Applique Four Block Antique Quilt! This OUTSTANDING cotton 20's/30's princess feather quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted, with a center star/medallion and nice sawtooth border. The quilt came out of central/eastern Pennsylvania. It measures a generous 84" X 90" and is in excellent condition, with the occasional small age spot (photo #6 shows the most visible, I haven't tried to clean this one) and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall. The quilting is superb, with quilting around and within the applique and in grid, star, and dense cable designs in the background, all at an even 7-8 stitches to the inch with faint pencil marks still visible in places. The back is white, the front and back are hand stitched together right at the edge ("knife edge"), and the batting is thin.
