638 vintage architectural postcards from France, 19 German, 10 Spanish, 667 tota - $99 - (Tupper Lake, NY)
Up for auction I have a large collection of architectural postcards (667 total cards) 638 cards (Carte Postale) from France, 19 cards (Postkarte) from Germany and 10 Spanish cards (Tarjeta Postal). All the cards are unused except for 6. I scanned the backs of the cards for those of you who may be interested in the stamps and a small sample of the unused backs. I found only one duplicate card in the collection. There may be a few more that I overlooked. The cards are a collection that was put together by C. E. Howard, an architect who lived during those times. His ownership stamp is on the back of most of the cards. The majority cards show street scenes, famous buildings and works of art as they looked in 1900. The cards are from all over France taken from the major cities and historic locations including chateaus, museums and works of art, too much to list individually. Feel free to text for more information. European buyers will have to pay actual shipping charges to their destination. The cards come with a catalog box and the total weight is about 7 pounds.
