Arthur & Bond, Yokohama. One of the leading firms offering Meiji silver and arts (See below). Cover adorned with brilliantly raised Japanese dragon amidst streaming fire. The massive head with furry snout, chin and brow, mouth open wide revealing razor tip fangs. Hammered surfaces. Two more dragon to sides forming a "continuous" scene. Original divided camphor wood interior. Original silver wafer hallmarked "Arthur & Bond Sterling Yokohama". Box is 9 1/2 inches X 5 1/2 & 37 1/2 standard ounces, less bit for wood liner. In very fine condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. Few small bumps and dints. Massachusetts residents are subject to sales tax.
