Develops / coordinates / assists with instruction in general orientation if appropriate. Assures all staff complete required orientation topics before their begin work in their department; assures all employees receive a comprehensive orientation that covers all required topics per GSS policy, procedures, orientation checklists and law, and assures that all employees training checklists and on-the-job orientation is completed within 30 days after starting work in their area. Assures all volunteers, students and other allied staff receive appropriate orientation. Verifies the skills and competency of staff on at least an annual basis.
