CHINESE EXPORT SILVER TEA SET TRAY DRAGON & PEARL SIGNED A Chinese export silver dragon handle tea tray. Signed. Selling personal collection of Chinese Export Silver. Over 300 examples. Wide border of hand carved fiery lotus alternating with leaf and vine. Atop stippled surfaces. Center with all over hand hammered surface framed in both Greek Key and alternating bamboo and prunus flower. Boldly fashioned Imperial (5 claw) dragons fighting over the center sacred pearl in orb form. Never monogrammed. The tray is 22 inches across handle 13 1/2 across & 51 1/2 standard ounces. Hallmarked as shown. In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous silver patina throughout. Retains original detail. Tips of claws lacking to dragon on right side. Massachusetts residents are subject to sales tax.
