STERLING COFFEE POT & STAND BENJAMIN SMITH 1831 49 OUNCES A fine and rare William IV sterling silver coffee pot on the original stand, set retains the original hallmarked burner. From Benjamin Smith in 1831. Tapering light house tuck at base, in the George II manner. Wavy shell and vine framed shield, never monogrammed. Streaming leaf and floral. Cover with original raised flower and leaf finial. Satin chased leaf cap and highlighted acanthus mount spout, with urn and bead drop at lower center. Rolled vine carved handle, we believe original. Atop leaf and flower on stain decorated stand, with original burner, stand atop cascading flower head framed tapering scroll tip feet. This 1831 English sterling coffee pit on stand 14 inches & 49 standard ounces. Hallmarked as shown. In very fine condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. Retains original detail. We believe original hand carved handle in fine state. Massachusetts residents are subject to sales tax.
