VTG 1972 UNICORN Darts & Case 23g Barrel from Bull & Finch Cheers Pub Boston - $30 - (Hendersonville, NC)
VINTAGE UNICORN DARTS * SET OF 3 IN CARRYING CASE 18 G TOTAL* 16 G BARREL AND 2 G FLIGHTORANGE AND BLACK FEATHER FLIGHTSMADE IN ENGLAND *VERY GOOD CONDITION * BARELY USED PLEASE EXAMINE THE PHOTOS THAT ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTIONYOU WILL SEE THE GREAT CONDITION OF THESE VINTAG DARTS. The darts are ~ 6 3/8" long. The stainless steel points are still sharp and very clean with no rust.All 3 darts have a brass barrel with 9 knurled ridges for a good grip. Each barrel weighs ~ 23 grams. The orange and black DARROW feather flights each weigh ~ 2 grams. The total dart weight is ~ 25 grams each. All the feather flights have their brass end caps. One flight has lost a tiny 1/4 " section at the bottom of one feather (see 2nd photo bottom dart). Otherwise the darrow feathers are in great condition. The original UNICORN case is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks. The white dart holder in the case is marked Made in England. There are some scuffs on the outside of the case expected after 45 years. One end of the case has the blue Unicorn label. It says MADE IN ENGLAND and has an image of the barrel and the number 04 211. The other end of the case has a tag with "Distributed in USA by SPORTCRAFT Item 03230. In 1972, I learned to play darts at the Bull and Finch Pub in Boston which inspired the Cheers TV show. I had 3 sets of darts with cases all lightly used and today are still in great condition. I got a dartboard as a gift and had one Dart Round-robin in my home for my pub friends. After I left Boston in 1973, the darts and the dartboard were stored unused fot the last 44 years. I went back to the pub "where everybody knew your name" years later. The dartboard was gone replaced by a case selling "CHEERS PUB" souvenirs and the "regulars" were replaced by "tourists". Now downsizing and time to sell my original souvenirs of the B&F Pub.
