Columbia Records "The Confederacy" & "The Union" Books With LPs - $100 - (Pensacola, FL)

Offered for sale is a set of civil war themed albums by Columbia Records, 1958. The albums contain the music of the South and North during the years 1861 to 1865 by Richard Bales and recorded at the National Gallery of Art for authenticity. Each album contains essays of the time from Bruce Catton and Clifford Dowdy as well as numerous era photos and stories. The albums have a cloth cover and feature brightly colored images of their respective flags and gold embossed images of Lincoln, Davis and soldiers from each army. There is damage to the Confederate cover on the top right corner in the form of a small impact bind. Small but noticeable. There is small nick on the rear cover near the opening edge of the union cover. Also the flag on the union cover looks like it has started to lift. I encased it in heat shrink plastic to keep everything together. The books are in great condition condition, no other visible damage. The records are in mint to near mint condition. This is a very nice set that will give you a new appreciation for the civil war era. If you are a collector of civil war memorabilia then this would be an excellent addition.
