vintage Oil Painting signed 'K. Stieler' -- signed lower right, and dated '1946' -- cannot find any information about this artist but there seems to have been a line of 'Stieler's' who were noted in Germany for their painting skills, beginning with Joseph Karl Stieler -- this work is a fairly simple treatment of a Bavarian mountain farm Landscape with two beautiful old homes, one with laundry hanging from the top rail, and with several chickens feeding in the yard -- -- the painting is oil on canvas and is framed in a more contemporary wood frame -- the painting measures 19 3/4 by 29 1/4 in. // the frame measures 22 1/2 by 32 1/2 in. -- -- painting is moderately soiled and could use cleaning -- moderate craqelure to the surface ('cracklature') // frame is a little dusty / backing paper is slit -- ** Happy Holidays!!! ** Free Local pick-up is an option.
