Antique Ansonia 10" Gilt Fish shelf or mantle clock with gold gilt (or ormolu) ornate spelter case featuring ; what I believe is a Chinese Lucky Goldfish. Fish is upright on a circular marble base. Dial is surrounded by intricate ornate design. Dial has black Roman numerals. Ivory ring around face is celluloid. Clock face marked with A & Trade Mark in a square in a square. This mark was used by Ansonia Clock Company 1879-1929 per research. Clock is being sold As Is as it is not running. Outer back cover appears to be missing. Key is present & it may be overwound.No cracks, breaks and dents. Case, gilt & clock face in VERY GOOD condition. Typical light wear from age and use. Clock face is almost 2" across & clock is 10" tall.Enlarge & view all photos for best description. I purchased several gilt non-working clocks from an estate. I am not an expert but I'm sure they can be repaired or just displayed for their beauty. I will be listing a total of 4 gilt clocks from the same era and of similar style; others feature cherubs / putti.
