1895 Antique Spoon, Sterling Silver (.925), Alvin Mfg., Master Floral Detail - $76 - (Washington, NC)

This sterling silver spoon is in very good condition. It is 6.0 inches long. It has been in one family since the 1890s. Notes: The Alvin Silver Mfg. Co. was founded during the last part of the 19th century. The original headquarters was in New Jersey. In 1895, the company relocated to Sag Harbor, N.Y., where it began manufacturing silverware based on historical patterns. Alvin was also known for its exquisite sterling tea sets, bowls, and hand-mirrors.
