The stamps are attached to 8x10½ inch color tinted bond paper (sometimes watermarked) and cancelled with "First Day of Issue." Includes the high value $5.00 Bret Harte Stamp. Background: Souvenir Pages have been offered to the public, via a U.S. Postal Service subscription service, since March 1, 1972. Souvenir Pages include an illustration of the stamp's design, descriptive information, statistics about the stamp, and an example of the actual stamp tied to the page by a "First Day Of Issue" cancellation.
