~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~Beautiful and rare! This gorgeous skirt and bodice are French and date from the late 1800's. I simply ADORE this set. Made of a light batiste cotton or perhaps it is a lawn ? It's a gorgeous light weave, loosely woven , light weight! The pink silk ribbon is GORGEOUS! So delicate but has survived in remarkable condition . Purchased from a private collection and kept well for many years indeed! ~*~ . Remarkably rare and wonderful! An absolute treasure ~ ~ ( RR 12) MEASUREMENTS : The bodice measures approximately :Waist : 30 inches Length : 20 inches Chest : from one underarm to the other, laid flat : 20.5 inches Shoulders :18 inches Skirt : 43 inches at the shortest and 50 inches long at the longest point23 inches waist CONDITION : This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition . This set is in wonderful condition. There are some very pale storage marks and there are some hand mends on the skirt , so neatly worked they are difficult to even find! ~ A stunning find ~*~ ~*~ .
