1828 Earliest US Railroad Map Boston & Providence Proposed Route NOT A REPRO - $795 - (Winterport, ME)

Recently found here in coastal Maine.A very early 1828 railroad map; in fact this is suppose to be the first railroad map printed.This map shows a plan of the survey for the proposed Boston & Providence Railway.Without its full .5" margins, the map measures 41.5" x 7.5".Originally this map was an insert in the report on the proposed railway between Boston & Providence. Used estate condition: light foxing, soiling, toning, and staining; a number of vertical fold lines where inserted in survey report. When framed and flattened under glass, this will be a very presentable example. Printed in 3 sections on wove paper.
