Well over 400 examples. Samuel Woods in 1771. Known exclusively as a cruet specialist. Tapering urn petal gadroon trim Cast satyr's heads. Cover pine cone and leaf, body embossed and chased with winding grape and leaf. Bead and leaf, shell cap handles. Never monogrammed. Hallmarked under base. Satyr's head covered tea caddy is 10 inches tall and 36 1/2 standard ounces. In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous silver patina. Retains near original detail. Mild wear.
