Cherry Sugar Chest Antique - $3,200 - (Eolia, MO)
A very very rare piece. Sugar chests are extremely hard to find and when you do they are exspensive. But one with 3 drawers is almost impossible to find. Early to mid 1800's. Beautiful one board top. The whole piece has beautiful wide cherry boards. The drawers have one board bottoms. constructed with square nails. The drawers have square nails. The top lock and latch has no key. The drawers are missing the locks. The lid has slightly smaller hinges than original -although they are period to the piece. It has slight crack across the side board but very slight. It measures 40" long by 20" deep by 36" tall. It has 4 and 1/2" beautifully turned legs. It has one board pine bottoms . They have scribe marks in them and original square nails to prove they are original to the piece.
