FINE OLDER PAIR OF YORUBA IBEJI TWIN FIGURES IN COWRY SHELL COVERED ROBES Description: A very attractive pair of Yoruba Ibeji, twin figures, expressively carved, both by the same hand, with traces of the traditional blue pigment, and wearing stiff fabric robes completely covered with cowry shells. From the condition of the surfaces, it is reasonable to assume that these are 50-75 years old. The female figure is wearing beads. It is 12 3/16" tall. The male is 11 1/2" tall.
