Selling 40 years collected 18th and 19th century British silver. Family crest. Raised fox (?) with outstretched paw. From Richard Cooke in 1807. Classic tapering form with petal gadroon trim. < The well cast and fit high dome covers with panel fluting band. Topped with leaf crown crossed branch finial, set in gadroon edge oval base. Original fasteners. George III entree dishes 12 1/4 inches by 8 1/2 inches set weighs 154 standard ounces. Hallmarked as shown to base, cover and finial. In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. The crossed bough finial and gadrooning retains original detail. Stands firm on table. Mild wear and scattered tiny dints.
