NEW ORLEANS LA 9 AUG (1861) Provisional 62x3 4-margin on cover to Carrollton Mi. Cover was opened at the top with some reduction and loss to the back flap. The jumbo 4-margin stamp tied by the New Orleans PAID canceller has a small tear lower left, otherwise a fine cover. This Confederate cover came out of an old time hoard that has just recently become available.
