1816 George III sterling silver entree dish with stand London W. Reid 1850 gr - $2,400 - (Calgary, AB)

For sale a lovely antique George III English sterling silver entree dish with heating / cooling stand. Bears the hallmarks for London, sterling silver. The makers - Joseph Gaclock & William Reid.Date letter for 1816. Quite ornate , has a repousse rope design along the edge of the each half of the dish and same pattern along the base of the removable handle. The weight of sterling is - 1850 grams. The lid engraved with Noble family crest / shield - "IN DEO CONFIDO". The size of dish: 11 1/8" x 8 1/8" x 4 3/4" high. The heating / cooling stand is silver plated. Made in Victorian times. The dish fits perfectly.For cooling use ice inside. For warming use hot water. The stand have two scrolling handlesand same pattern feet . The size of stand is 8 1/8" x 14" x 2 3/4" high. The height of dish with stand to the top of the handle - 6 1/4" high. It is in pretty good condition with some minor wear consistent with an antique item of silverware 200 years old.
