Race Horse & Jockey Statue Sculpture Figurine Austin Productions Sanfilippo 1970 - $139 - (Bossier City, LA)
The statue is attached to the wooden base by only one hoof - very impressive looking! Looks to be cast metal, with a bronze-like color. It is very heavy and makes a metal-like sound when I tap it. About 17" across and 10" tall, not counting the base which is 1". I would suggest cleaning it with a damp cloth since I am not sure what exactly what it's made of. There are no marks on it as far as I can tell. It will make a great gift for someone who loves horses and racing. Austin Productions puts out quality sculptural art and as far as I can tell, this jockey and horse sculpture was created in 1970 by Sanfilippo (see last photo). It will be packed very well, and with care, for shipping. Psst ... an art dealer is selling the very same statue for $225 on eBay.
