Senior Manufacturing Engineer - (Romeo, MI)

This position is responsible for all prototype tooling for the manufacturing of prototype seatbelts and airbags including: Programmable sewing machine fixtures Light assembly fixtures Press fixtures Responsible for developing manufacturing methods and processes for new technologies in addition to improving existing procedures for speed and quality. Applicant must have excellent mechanical expertise and be familiar with the use of assembly tools, presses and fixtures. Be able to review and comprehend engineering drawings and GD&T. AutoCAD, Catia, or NX background a plus. Be able to quickly become familiar with the use of various computer applications. Highly motivated self starter willing to take on the responsibility and leadership of a quick paced team environment. Must have good communication expertise with technicians, engineers, and supervision. Able to travel internationally as required. Bachelors degree required, preferably in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years relevant background.
