1967 - 1971 HANDWRITTEN DIARY-------- This handwritten vintage diary - journal - manuscript was written by HAZEL P. SLOAN - CUTTA. She was the daughter of Leland & Iva Price - Sloan, born on March 9, 1913 and died May 30, 2009. She finished 3 years of college and married Joseph S. Cutta, and I don't think they had children. She lived in BROAD BROOK, HARTFORD COUNTY, CONNECTICUT. and was employed as a bookkeeper until she retired. This diary is hard bound, and has daily entries starting December 28, 1966 and they continue until June 24, 1971! So there are 4 1/2 years of entries! The diary is larger than average, it measures 8" x 9.75", and is 1/2" thick. She removed the first 202 pages in the front of the book, and the diary entries begin on page 203 and go until the end, page 303. Nearly all of the pages are covered with diary entries from top to bottom, and her penmanship is easy to read. In between the pages, I found a postcard of the "Milestone Motor Court"(located in Ogunquit, Maine), and it is stapled to a brochure for the same. Along with the diary, I will include a photo copies of her 1940 census info, her Connecticut Death Index info, and her obituary with photo of her grave stone. I will also include a photo copy of Hazels graduation photo, and I will include a photo copy of Hazels mother too! They look so much alike!
