RARE Antique 1929 Child's POPEYE Belt Signed Steerhide King Feat Syndicated - $144 - (Harrisburg, IL)
For sale is a rare Popeye item from 1929. It is a child's Popeye belt. It is a real leather belt that has been worn many years ago. It has been in storage for many years as well. It is hard to believe that it is almost 90 years old! It says on the back Steerhide POPEYE . It has a 28 which I assume is the size since the entire length of the belt from tip of the buckle to metal tip at end is 33" long. The width is 1". It also says 1929 King Feat Syn. There is another line of words that I cannot make out. That line is under the word Steerhide. The belt buckle is tarnished and the leather has some wear where the belt holes are but there are no actual tears. Please look closely at the pictures for the best description. I think this rare Popeye item is a very unusual find. A friend of mine had forgotten that she had kept this many years ago and just recently found it in a drawer at her house. It's not perfect, but it most certainly is Popeye! What a great addition to any Popeye collection this would be.
