West Point / Virginia Military Academy Cadet Sword by AMES A pre Civil War Ames cadet sword. Double Inspector marked. Blade is etched engraved, it is worn by countless cadet polishes but still there. Handle and hilt are a little loose but not overly. A few specks of plate on scabbard still but 99% gone. Pull up the picture of the sword at the West Point museum, I think this is in better condition; as that sword looks to have the etching is worn off. Scabbard is dent free.
