Job summary Job Purpose: Assist workers engaged in preparing foods for restaurant by performing a combination of duties. Also, to produce all orders on an a la carte basis and to prep for buffets, banquets, salad bars and hors d’ oeuvres. Position duties: Display good customer relation skills and take initiative to greet guests in a friendly manner. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary details and protect company assets. Must be able to “prep” food products for line and banquet consumption, using standardized food preparation techniques. Wash, peel, cut, and seed vegetables and fruits; clean, and cut meats, poultry, and seafood; stir and strain soups and sauces, etc. Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
