Antique New Haven Beehive Mantle Clock ~ RUNS ~ Here is a very nicely styled antique shelf clock made by the New Haven Clock Co., New Haven, Conn., USA during the early 1900's. It has the original signed New Haven 8 day time and strike movement which has been cleaned and is running good and gonging properly. This quality movement counts the hour on an antique cathedral style gong and announces each half hour with a single toll. It has a signed silvered dial which shows some minor wear, but really is in very good condition for its age. The neatly styled "beehive" case measures 11 ¼" long x 8 ½" high x 5" deep and structurally is in very good condition. The original finish shows quite a bit of wear, which gives it a great, authentically aged appearance. If you like country rustic, this clock really is sharp looking and needs nothing in order to go up on the mantle and enjoy. It comes complete with the pendulum and key.
