Manager, Animal Care & Facilities Ops Description Requisition ID: 8813 Position title: Manager, Animal Care & Facilities Ops Job summary and Essential responsibilities: Under the direction of the Director of the DCM/ARC, the Animal Care and Facility Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing daily activities involved with the provision of animal husbandry, cage washing, and facility operations at multiple DCM/ARC facilities. The Animal Care and Facility Operations Manager also participates with DCM/ARC senior leadership, COH/BRI leadership, faculty, health and safety departments and IACUC to maintain a safe workplace environment compliant with all legal mandates, animal welfare regulations and guidelines and accreditation standards. Critical functions: Participates in developing and managing annual budgets for DCM/ARC. Provides input for program cost studies and rate setting. Mentors and supervises ARC animal care and cage wash supervisors and their teams.
