Each daily paper has 18 or more pages, while the Sunday editions have many more; there are probably between 700-1,000 pages in all. Each page is approx. 23" x 16 1/2". The newspapers contain, or course, the news of the day, much of it centered around the ongoing troubles in Mexico and complaints about Tammany Hall, but there are hundreds of articles about every subject, including the theatre, sports and fashion (there is a special 12-page "fashion supplement" in the Sept. 7th issue). Among dozens of notable articles are ones about the air show in France and a woman at Atlantic City who was pummeled by the crowd for her "racy" bathing suit. Among the dozens of sports articles featuring great stars of the period there are baseball box scores featuring Ty Cobb, Joe Jackson and Walter Johnson and another that mentions Jim Thorpe! There are hundreds of ads for famous New York stores like Wanamaker's, Macy's, Saks and Tiffany's, plus ads for cars, famous ships like the Lusitania, and dozens of other items. There are political cartoons and Sunday "funnies", with several in color. (See all of the photos for examples-it was very difficult to choose just 12!) The newspapers are in good condition for their age. There is some water damage on the outside cover and the very first page and some slight tears along the edges of the pages. A few pages have slits in them. Of course I haven't looked at all the pages but I don't see any missing ones and all but the first page are still connected to the binding. In addition to the loose first page, a blank page and the front cover are detached, but present. The spine has the title and date marked in gold, still bright. This is a very heavy item (it weighs over 16 lbs.) and shipping will be expensive, even at book rate. This is apparently a rare find; at the time of original listing there were no other…
