Job details Summary Evaluate Link-Belt production material qualifications and place purchase orders with approved suppliers to fulfill qualifications. Conduct procurement process to assure material arrives on-time to support manufacturing. Essential Job Functions 1. Generate purchase orders from MRP or other demand. 2. Balance purchase orders with inventory conditions and demand qualifications at all times to minimize inventory investment 3. Monitor open purchase orders to meet changing schedule qualifications (cancel, defer, expedite, etc.) 4. Follow up with suppliers to ensure materials ordered will arrive on time. 5. Work with Receiving Department to resolve quantity, purchase order, or part number discrepancies. 6. Work with others to gather requested data e.g. certifications, tracking info, etc. as required. 7. Communicate with suppliers. 8. Other duties as assigned.
