Rare 1922 Ad Macbeth Evans Glass Company Candle Shades for Candle Type Fixture - $13 - (Great Bend, KS)

This original and seldom seen ad print by Macbeth-Evans Glass Company of Pittsburgh features Glass Candle Shades for the candle-type feature. The candle-type fixture, without shades, came into vogue during the war when glass manufacturing was restricted. Later Macbeth came up with the idea of making glass shades for those fixtures and included a metal holder to keep the shade in position. This ad print with lovely colorful illustration is guaranteed authentic from a 1922 magazine--it is not a later reprint or copy of any kind. The reverse side of the Same Sheet of Paper is an ad for Nettleton Shoes. The page size is about 7 1/4" x 10 3/8"--printed on good quality paper. It is in very good condition with a few light indentions or impressions that are not very noticeable. Light creasing in corners can be covered by matting or trimmed for framing. There is a little typical show thru from the reverse side. Placing it on black when framing eliminates some, but not all, of the show thru--I doubt that most people would ever notice it. Please zoom and enlarge the pictures for your best description. This ad print will be placed in a protective sleeve and shipped in a sturdy cardboard reinforced envelope. Payment is due within three days and I ship the next business day. Additional paper items ship postage free--please wait for my combined invoice to pay. Thank you for looking.
