Mid Century Danish Modern "Papa Bear" Chair by Hans Wegner - $8,500 - (Arkadelphia, AR)
Sometimes called "the teddy bear chair" but more often referred to as a "Papa Bear Chair". Iconic Danish Design by Hans Wegner. Upholstery has disintegrated and is in very bad condition but frame is ultra sturdy as well as teak legs and arms. Right now we have it at the upholsterer but decided to leave it and let someone else perhaps have it done to their taste, leather would be nice. It's a 50's chair but looks to have been re-upholstered once with the fabric suggesting possibly in the 70's. Ebay forces a ship charge to be inserted which we have done but actual cost may vary slightly up or down depending on location and choice of carriers. Offers accepted and encouraged. _____due to numerous questions we have further stripped the chair but no ink marks to be found_____also added close up of pad and legs-pads were particularily dirty and have been cleaned with teak cleaner but not refinished.
