Job details: *Minimally 1yr background working in a lab FULL-TIME required. Manager is looking for somebody who has several years of background working on projects that require molecular techniques as well as mammalian cell culture skills. The applicant needs to have good communicated skills as she/he will be working with a team of scientists of four internally and postdocs at MIT to report progresses and provide updates. CRITICAL SKILLS BS/MS in molecular biology or related position. 1+ year of laboratory background gDNA/RNA preparation northern/southern blot analysis. Molecular biologist to aid in characterization of recombinant mammalian cell lines. Requires BS/MS in molecular biology or related position and at least 1 yr of laboratory background. Must be familiar with general cell culture techniques (ex. aseptic passaging of cell lines), RNA, cDNA and genomic DNA preparation, DNA/RNA quantitation like ddPCRor taqman, and Southern analyses.
