Vintage Hand Carved Wood Donkey Burro Folk Art Outsider Art Mexico - $17 - (Ball, LA)

I found this burro at an estate sale in St. Landry Louisiana. The lady who sold it said she purchased it about 20 years ago at an outdoor market in Guadalajara Mexico, where she actually watched at the man carved it. It's a primitive folk art piece, a bit rough, but well proportioned. And the little burro has such a sweet expression on his face! Measures about 7" from nose to tail.
