Responsibilities: Ensuring the proper performance of processing machinery used in a food production operation; Changing parts, lubricating machinery, troubleshooting basic electrical/mechanical problems; Starting and observing machinery to determine efficiency and detect problems; Inspecting or testing damaged parts to detect and mark defective areas; Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies to maintain stock; Adhering to budget, USDA, OSHA, SQF, and FDA compliance guidelines; Using cranes, hoists, or dollies to transport machine parts, tools, equipment, etc. General sanitary cleaning of equipment. Background: 1-2+ years of maintenance mechanic background; Background in the food processing or food production industry strongly preferred; Knowledge and background with GMPs, sanitary conditions, safe work practices; Expertise to work second or third shift; Excellent communication expertise.
