Executive Summary: The Chief of Sailing is tasked with leading the Sailing Program, which includes both the national team and the Development Program. This position mandates proven skills in team building and a track record of working with leaders in high performance sailing, other sports, and the business world. The program is seeking a passionate, visionary, inspiring and dynamic leader who can create strong relationships across the American sailing community, and build a united team with a clear goal. Qualifications: one Leader – A strong, accountable leader with strategic vision and a broad spectrum of communications skills. This person must be able to inspire collaboration within the program and oversee efforts to generate support from both established partners and potential new ones. two Builder – A proven team builder who can facilitate productive athlete/coach relationships, retain top talent, and build a positive team culture.
