Development Associate (Grant Writer) - (Washington, DC)

The Grant Writer will be responsible for creating proposals, reports, and other materials as needed that effectively communicate the impact and mission of our work toward the goal of cultivating new supporters and deepening the engagement and awareness of current donors, as evidenced by increased revenue. S/He will be expected to gather documentation and fulfill the necessary qualifications of various funding sources for NLIRH, including frequently needed collateral and standard donor attachments. This role will be expected to conduct prospect research to assist in growing the organization's prospect pipeline and play a critical role in the ongoing upkeep of Salesforce and Foundation moves management. This role is expected to manage within a fast-pace work atmosphere and handle competing deadlines with calm. S/He must be an excellent researcher who not only identifies funding opportunities, but is an astute writer who can craft a compelling case for funding beyond NLIRH's current donor community.
