Summer Camp- Fab Lab Boot CAMP- 4 days- kids, laser, 3D printing - N.A. - (Benton Harbor, MI)
A week long camp (4 days, Monday through Thursday) for the kids of all ages to take advantage of the equipment in the Fab Lab at Lake Michigan College. Explore the Fab Lab with this open lab style camp. All departments within the Fab Lab will opened and stationed with a tech to guide the students through their projects each day. Students will be able to pick from a variety of projects while learning various machines. Sample Projects include: Laser Cutting and Engraving Laser out fabric for plushies Create personalized keychains Cut out and engrave leather for a journal or bookmarks Personalize pet tags and collars Vinyl Cutting Create stickers and/or magnets Create a design and then press it on a shirt Sewing Learn to sew by creating your own plushie (see lasers) Embroider on shirts, pillows, etc with our CNC embroidery machine Woodshop Create wood turned pens Create other wood turned products 3D print almost anything!
