From History Never Repeats LLC, South Charleston, WV Lamp Table with drawer, Drexel, Edward Wormley 1949, USA white Lacquer, maple. Designed by Edward Wormley for Drexel, the precedent series by Drexel is one of the few designs Wormley performed outside of Dunbar. This table was produced in 1949 and is in an off-white linen lacquer, newly refinished. The middle section has a single drawer with finger pulls beneath, thus the table looks identical front to back, and can free stand within a room. Measure 28" tall and is 16.5" x 16.5" square. Its original intended purpose was to be a 3-tier night stand but is versatile and ideal as a console hall table or plant display stand also thanks to raised lip on the top surface. It is a minimalist design.
